OUR STORY

Lucia and Julie met each other on the second day of their Georgetown executive coaching program. Thrown together randomly, they were assigned to share a “watershed moment” from their lives. This act of sharing deeply personal stories revealed to them that though they had different backgrounds and careers, they felt united in their approach to life. They both dealt with difficult roadblocks while also pursuing their dreams – job changes, big moves, family illness, loss of loved ones, and complexities of motherhood – and found these experiences left them with the desire to help others.

Julie is someone who Lucia deeply admires because of the passion and energy she brings to her many roles. To Lucia, Julie is a superwoman who has had an incredibly successful business career, was a head coaches’ wife in two different cities while also raising her three kids and caring for her extended family. Julie has handled adversity in her life: head on, and in a very hopeful and positive way. For her part, Julie is struck by Lucia’s intellectual ability and humility. She sees that Lucia has a real gift for listening to what people are truly saying, allowing for a deeper understanding of the issue at hand. In Lucia, Julie sees someone with deep courage and conviction; is warm and kind; and cares deeply for others.

Together, they share the same values: hard work, discipline, authenticity, and the strength of family and community. They also share the common purpose of caring for and helping others, always. Just as Lucia and Julie are partners to their coaching clients – providing support, accountability, empowerment, and self-awareness – they also know that by working together they will better serve their clients.
